A Wee Bit of Me Wednesday

It Wednesday already?! Wow, I don't know where the week has gone but it's Wednesday again. Which means it's time for another Wee Bit of Me Wednesday!

{one} if you could rid the world of one thing, what would it be?
I would probably have to agree with Ashley and say... hate.

{two} if you could go on vacation for the next month with an unlimited budget, where would you go?
Everywhere! I would want to travel the world!

{three} cats or dogs?
Dogs for sure. I hate cats.

{four} would you rather date a lot of people or be in a committed relationship?
Be committed I guess... ? haha

{five} would you rather own a luxury yacht or a private jet?
Probably a private jet because then I could travel all over the world if I wanted. :)
{six} what was the last book you read?
I hate reading, but I think it was The Last Song. I borrowed it from Kenzie, and didn't even get to finish it! haha

{seven} would you rather be really hot or really cold?
Well, being that I pretty much live in a desert, and that I HATE cold weather (besides rain)... I would rather be really hot since I'm used to that already.

{eight} if you could change your name, what would you change it to?
I've never really thought about that before, but probably something modern but unique at the same time.

{nine} what did you dream about last night?
Haha! Sadly, I dreamed about... Big Time Rush. :P I stayed up late last night watching their videos on youtube, so that's probably why!

{ten} if you had to throw away either your tv or your computer, which would you throw away?
I would throw away the tv. Being that I blog, and I talk to my friends on facebook, I would hate to have my computer be thrown away!

Now it's your turn! Go link up over at http://leighashley.blogspot.com/
Happy Wednesday!

Weekend at the Cabin

Like I mentioned before... one of my best friends (ever since we were babies), Danielle, invited me to her family's cabin this past weekend! We had a great time! We left on Thursday (22nd) and came home Monday (26th).

We spent most of our time riding four-wheelers and watching movies. The weather up there was amazing! It rained for a little bit each day, which made it smell sooo good. {I love the smell of rain!} We roasted marshmallows, played outside, and searched for deer.

Danielle and me riding the four-wheelers. Sporting our police-looking helmets. :)

Danielle's sister, Alexandrea, riding the four-wheeler.

Danielle and me again. {Please ignore my ugly-ness in this picture!}
I didn't take hardly any pictures, but Danielle's mom took some on their camera. I'll be sure to post some once I get them though!

Oh! One more thing... Danielle and Alexandrea got me hooked on a show on Nickelodeon while we were there. It's called Big Time Rush! It's super funny, and the 4 main characters are guys. Hott guys. :) It's my new obsession.

The one in the middle, with the red shirt is my favorite! His name is Logan.

The show is about four hockey-playing guys from Minnesota who have the opportunity to become famous and move to LA to start their own boy band. You can read more about the show HERE.

This is my favorite song by them:

So anyways... that was my fabulous weekend! I had a great time up there, and hope to go back sometime. Lot's of silly memories were made there!

What did you do this weekend?

A Wee Bit of Me Wednesday

I am joining in on Wee Bit of Me Wednesday over at My Leigh Ashley today!

1. if you could go on a road trip to anywhere with one person, dead or alive, who would it be and where would you go?
I would travel to California with my mom. I think that would be so awesome to just travel there and go hang out at the beach, do some shopping, and see lots of different places there.

2. if you were stranded on a desert island, which one person would you take with you?
Probably my dad. He knows about all that survival stuff that I don't know too well. :)

3. what's your earliest memory?
I hate being asked this question because I honestly don't know. I just remember always wanting to go play with my little buddy Cole. And also sneaking out of the house to go visit/play with my neighbors across the street.

4. what's the best advice you've ever received?
To not worry too much about what others think of me. To just be myself!

5. if you could have an endless supply of food what would you get?
Anything, and everything Mexican! I absolutely love Mexican food. Es muy deliciouso!
6. would you rather be a famous musician or a famous actor?
A famous actor. I've always thought it would be so much fun to be in a movie. I'm not much of a musician anyways.

7. if you could be a star athlete in any sport, which would you choose?
I am terrible at sports, but I would probably choose basketball.

8. if you were offered the job of u.s. president, would you take it?
Umm, no thanks. :)

9. would you rather have the ability to fly or to breath under water?
I would love to be able to breath under water!

10. what music are you listening to today?
Well this one is sort of a coincidence... I'm listening to California Girls by Katy Perry right now. Haha! But probably just anything that's on the radio or playing on my playlist.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Relaxing Summer Day

I've mentioned before how much I loved Summer, right? Well just in case you didn't know... I LOVE Summer! :) One of the many reasons why I love summer is because I just get to relax. I can just wind down and not worry about anything for a whole day if I want.

Well yesterday, was one of those relaxing summer days. I slept in til about 10:30 {oops} and stayed in my pajamas for pretty much half the day. When I finally decided to get ready, my mom took me and my little sister, Jaynee,  to a place here in town called Swig. It has many different kinds of drinks like smoothies and soda, and also cupcakes, cookies, snow cones, and ice cream. It's the perfect little snack place for summer. One of my favorite things to get there is their fresh lemonade with strawberry added in.

It is so sweet and refreshing. I love it! It was also a blazing 110 degrees outside, so it felt really good to hold in my hands.

After our little refreshment, we continued to the grocery store. I love when I go to the grocery store with my mom because I can bribe her into buying some yummy food and snacks. Mwahaha! ;)

I then just chilled at home for a while, until Jaynee came running in saying that Kason {11 yr. old brother} had just caught a baby lizard. I normally HATE lizards {and unfortunately, they're everywhere around here}, but I decided to go check it out. It was actually pretty cute. Anything in miniature form is cute, right?

Isn't it weird how my brother is always outside catching lizards and bugs? Brothers...

That poor little thing was probably scared to death!
We finally let the little guy go back to his home, and I continued to relax the rest of the day.

So that concludes my refreshing, relaxing, lizard-catching, boring, pointless, lazy, Summer day!
What is your favorite thing about summer??

GNO

This weekend, I hade the chance to have girls night out with a few of my cousins and aunts, and my grandma!

We started the night off by seeing a play at a performing arts high school called Tuacahn. They are known for their Broadway in the Desert shows each summer. The show that we went to see was Disney's Tarzan. It was a great show! They had the apes swing over the audience on ziplines, and had lots of fun dances and music. Although it was VERY hot and we were all sweating in our seats, it was a fun experience and we all enjoyed it! {Unfortunately, there was "no flash photography" allowed so I didn't get to take any pictures of the show}

Here is what the theater looked like:

It is located outside, which is why we were so hot... even though it the show started at 8:30 PM!

The following morning my grandma had planned for all of us to go to a sewing class taught by one of our familys' friend, Lisa. It was mainly for the cousins, not the adults. To be honest... I wasn't too excited to do this because I already knew how to sew and would most likely just be watching.
The girls started off by learning how to sew straight lines, and all the basics. As I expected, I just watched. :/ After everyone had finally learned the basics, we started sewing pillow cases. I have already made a pillow case before so I knew it would be easy for me. Well, since we were limited on sewing machines I didn't even get to finish my pillow case... bummer! Oh well... I think it was still pretty fun and turned out to be a good morning.

After eating lunch at a delicious Mexican Grill, we headed over to the pool to swim! It was about 110 degrees outside, so it was much needed! I had a lot of fun being silly, and playing around with my lil' cousins. {I was the oldest cousin there}

Being at the pool for over 3 hours or so is tiring, so we relaxed for few hours at the condo my cousins were staying in down here. {They're all from the Salt Lake City area} After showering, and getting ready we headed to a little restaurant here in town called Mongolian BBQ. Our family loves this place! YUM!

We FINALLY ended our weekend with a movie night. The girls watched a movie at Lisa and her family's house, while the aunts talked and visited. The movie that the girls chose was "Hairspray". Not one of my personal favorites, but I was pretty thrilled to see Zac Efron in it! ;) We ate some buttery pocorn, and sang along to the songs.
My dad came and picked me and my little sister up, and that... was the end of my weekend!

Overall... it was pretty fun, and kept me entertained the whole weekend!! I'm really looking forward to next year's GNO :)

{Sorry, I tried to keep that post as brief as possible!}

My Week & Jaynee's Birthday

Hey everyone :) Sorry for the lack of posting. My family hasn't been up to anything too exciting lately, and neither have I. Last week, I went to the river again with friends and had a blast! I didn't take any pictures because I didn't want to risk losing my camera in the river. That would be bad.  I've also been playing night games with people from school that I haven't seen all summer... so that's always fun! :)

My youngest and only sister, Jaynee, turned 7! We called this her Golden birthday because she turned 7 on the 7th month on the 7th day. My mom and I made a pink cake for her, and decorated it with marshmallow fondant. We made it to match the plates that we are going to use for her party. The plates were gray, with dark pink, light pink, lavender, and white polka-dots. We are definetely not cake decorators, but I think it still turned out cute. Here are a few pics:

On Saturday, my mom and I went to see Eclipse!! Finally! And lemme tell ya... it was amazing! After the movie, we went to dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant in town called Durango's. I had a cheese quesodilla with beans and rice. :) Afterwards, we went window shopping the outlet mall across the street. It was nice to get out with my mom for a little bit.

Yesterday, I got to see one of my best friends that I haven't seen ALL summer! I was so excited! We went over to my other friends house and hung out there. We talked about our summer and other random things. We watched half of a movie, and ate our favorite snacks. :) We then went to Swig and bought some de-lish-us flavored lemonade! I had the strawberry lemonade :) YUM!!! Then we went back and layed on the hammock and talked some more. Very relaxed, but an awesome day!

So that's how my week has been so far!
Thanks for stopping by :)

4th of July Weekend

This year, we celebrated 4th of July on the 3rd because I live in Utah. Enough said. ;)

We started the day by waking up at 5:00 in the morning to leave our house by 6:00 to get to the parade on time at 11:30. Every year, it's been a tradition in our family to go up to Mt. Pleasant to celebrate the 4th with family. It usually consists of going to the parade in the morning, going to the carnival in the afternoon, having a BBQ, and ending the day with fireworks. And that's exactly what happened this year too.

Parade:

Jaynee watching the parade

Me and my daddy at the parade :)

There were 'mountain men' people that were shooting these loud, obnoxious guns in the air.

My cousins, my aunt, my grandma, and me at the parade.

{I didn't get any pics of the carnival}
BBQ:

We had lots of food! :)

Red, White, and Blue chocolate dipped strawberries that my mom made.

Blue Salad

More food!

My Aunt and little cousin

Love this little guy! :)

All the cousins
Fireworks:

I thought this one was kinda cool :)

Hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend! :)
{Sorry this was posted a little late. But it's better late, than never!}

{Insert Blog Post Title Here}

Hello fellow bloggers! Sorry I haven't posted in a while... I've been too lazy busy to post anything lately. ;) So today I'm going to write about the highlights of my week. Is it just me, or did this week go by SO fast?

1.
My friends came back this week! All my friends were out of town last week so I had nothing to do. But this week, we all had lots of fun and good memories together! :)

2.
I did lots of swimming and hanging out in the water! It's been super hot around here so swimming is the perfect way to cool down.

3.
Yesterday {Thursday}, I went floating down the river in tubes with a few of my friends. OMGosh! Sooo much fun!! It took us about an hour just trying to find a place to get to the river, and about 2 hours to float to the bridge where we ended. The river was pretty shallow, which was good because we had more control to where we were going. But there were lots of rocks and branches that hurt us a little but. Overall, it was a blast! We are doing it again soon! :) I didn't bring my camera because I was afraid it would get ruined in the water, but next time... I will for sure!

Negatives of the week:

1.
I think I'm the only one in the nation that hasn't seen Eclipse yet. I'm not a big twilight fan, but I would still like to see it. I just haven't got the chance to see it yet.

2.
I just realized that my summer is half way OVER already!! Not good! I don't want summer to end because then that means my first year of technically being in high school starts soon. Scary! :/

3.
While I was on the river, I kinda forgot to put sunscreen on so... I am BURNT! And it hurts! It looks really weird because just the top of my thighs and my shoulders are burnt because of the way I was sitting the tube. haha :)

So there are a few highlights/negatives of the week!
Hope you all have a fabulous 4th of July weekend, and happy blogging!

P.S.-I'm leaving again to Mt. Pleasant to celebrate the 4th with some family. I'll post about it when I get back! :)
