Fifteen

Hey ya'll. So I'm going to get personal here. I've never really done that before on here, and this is going to be really rambly and so not organized, but whatever...

So some of you may or may not know my age, but I'm fifteen. I've come to conclusion that being fifteen sucks. Some of my friends agree, some of them don't. But isn't being fifteen supposed to be one of the most exciting years of being a teenager? I guess in some ways it is, but in more ways.. it's not. Atleast in my opinion.

To be honest here, sometimes its all about boys, your friends, your parents, that seem to make my life miserable.

But being fifteen makes me want to be more independent. I want to be able to choose what I do with my life. For example, my curfew, which boys to like, how much fun I have with friends, etc. Even though those things may be ridiculous things to worry about, but it's just what seems important at the time.

I've definitely realized lately, that those things I said above are not all that important. Some of the most important things are the things like spending more time with family, being there for my friends, and the ones I love. And NOT worrying about what people think of me, and just being ME. Yeah, sometimes it sucks being the only in you're group of friends with divorced parents. Sometimes it sucks not being able to have a driver's license to go where ever you want when ever you want. Sometimes it sucks to think that nobody likes you.
But guess what?

LIFE GOES ON. :)

I'm not going to give up on life. I'm not going to let those ridiculous, not-so-important things take over me. psh. I'm better than that! I'm going to stop feeling bad for myself and focus on the happy things that happen in my life. I'm going to follow my dreams and let go of the past.

Being fifteen starts my sophomore year of high school which should be interesting, but hopefully a whole new experience for me. I want to be able to discover who I am, and not what other people think of me or what other people tell me I should be. I'm still a teenager, and I'm NOT even near being perfect.

I'm just a normal fifteen year old girl who only sometimes, just slightly, wishes to be SIXTEEN.

I don't really know what I'm saying, I'm just saying what I feel. This probably makes no sense, and has no point. Don't judge me. :) But thanks for reading anyways!

Boating!

Hey everyone! How is your summer going so far? Mine is very slow, but every once in a while I like to do some really fun things with my friends. This weekend, one of my best friends, Camber, took us out on her boat to a nearby lake. She and her parents were so nice to take us out because it was soo much fun!

These are some of my best friends. I am so glad we got to get a picture of us with all 6 of us together. From left to right there's: Kenzie, me, Taylor, Camber, Sadie, and Kennedy.

anyways...

I have been boating before, but since our family doesn't own a boat I don't go very often. This time around, I decided I wanted to try to wakeboard. and let me just say, that was a major FAIL for me! If you have ever wakeboarded before, you would know it takes a lot of practice. I guess the key to getting up was to let the boat pull you up and then to turn your board. But everytime I would let the boat pull me up, I would just fall flat on my face! Like I said... fail. Atleast I can say that I tried, right?

Next we had some lunch and then we were ready for tubing! I love tubing, but it can get pretty painful. It's totally worth it though! We had two tubes tied on to the end of the boat so we would jump from tube to tube. We played a game where if you fell off 3 times while trying to switch tubes, then you would have to go back on the boat. No one listened to those rules, but it was fun anyways. :)

Here are the rest of the pictures I took:

Kenzie and me

Taylor and me. Excuse my hot mess of hair!

This is Sadie, it was her 15th birthday that day! woot! Happy Birthday to Sadie :)

Sadie and Kennedy

The kid sticking his leg out is our friend Jake from school. He was out at the lake too with his family, but he wanted to come tube with us. Obviously. There were about 9 girls total on the boat, why wouldn't he? :)

seven people + one tube = not good

The results of tubing left me with a scabbed knee, and every muscle in my body sore. I couldn't even lift my arms above my head. It was bad, but totally worth it!

Have you ever been boating? If you have, let me know! I think it's so much fun. :)

river fun

every day in summer should be filled with fun, right? well, so far mine has been pretty laid back and easy going. but one of my favorite things to do in the summer with my friends is go to the river. it basically goes all throughout my town, and it's the perfect place to hang out with friends.

my friends and I did just that a couple of days ago on a hot, summery afternoon. lemme tell ya... it was craziness! first of all, my guy friends had to take us there on four wheelers and Rhinos. (if you don't know what a rhino is.... google it. ha!) but it was soo much fun! oh, and did I mention that it was crazy?

once we actually got to the river, the water was freezing and the water flow was going way too fast because of run-off. nonetheless, it was a perfect way to cool down!

the adventure to the river itself was what made that day fun. I even got a little bit of footage of our crazy ride, here is the video I put together:

I'm the one on the farthest right, in the middle is Camber, and then Kenzie. sitting in the front seats were Sadie and Hunter (driving). just an FYI: I look extremely stupid, and we kept screaming, so that was pretty obnoxious. and also, Camber had her arms wrapped around mine and Kenzie's legs so she wouldn't fly out of her seat, just in case you were wondering. ;)

this picture was already in the video, but I decided to add it again. just for fun.
so that's basically it. fun stuff. I'm looking forward to going to the river a million times more this summer. it's where us, southern people, go when we don't have a beach. :)

what's your favorite summer activity??

Last Days of Freshman Year

hey everyone! welcome to my new and improved blog! this is now Kaylee's Korner. there's still  a lot to do but the one and only, Kenzie is helping me out! isn't she awesome?? leave a comment below and let me know what you think of it (as in the header and the name) so far. :)

so first off, I'm going to tell you a little about my last days of being a freshman in high school. school ended a week ago, and now it's officially SUMMER for me! so exciting. anyways, the last few days of school were soo boring, but also fun in a way. we were done with finals so there was no need for the teachers to teach anything, so we basically just played games, watched movies, and just hung out in all of my classes.

it was awesome.

on the very last day of school, we had 15 minute classes to check out, and at the end of all our classes we got our yearbooks! after that we had the rest of the school day to get our yearbooks signed by all of our friends and classmates. it was definitely so sad to think that we wouldn't see some of these people for a whole summer, but I eventually got over it and was SO excited for summer to start already!!

here are few pics of my friends and I on the last day of school:

summer is going a little slow for me, but I'm not complaining. I'm loving it, even if I have absolutely nothing to do with myself!

well, thanks for reading! I'll be sure to have more posts up soon. :)
